May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. Proverbs 5:18
Read a statistic somewhere recently that some marriages end because spouses become bored with each other. And I thought WHAT?!?! That is absolutely ridiculous!
Of course, life becomes a schedule. Breakfast, work, dinner, etc. It gets into a rhythm and sometimes it can become a bit well, boring. BUT, who says you can’t throw in some fun with your spouse here and there?!
God wants you to enjoy marriage, not dread it. If you’re not going to work on it, then no one else will do it for you. Personally, I think having fun together is crucial to any marriage. I mean, you must’ve done fun activities together at some point, right? When you were dating, in the early stages of your marriage, whenever!
Granted, there isn’t always as much time or money, but that still doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have fun together. No time? MAKE TIME! Nothing is more important than your marriage (besides God of course, yet He is still part of the marriage equation). With two kiddos of my own, I know it can be tough finding babysitters sometimes. However, it is well worth finding someone to sit with your children for a few hours so you can spend quality time together.
No money? There are free things you can do together like taking a walk in the park or having a romantic dinner at home. If you need some ideas then check out my Date Night Ideas (sorry, not all of these are free or cheap, but you can pick out ones that are).
Enjoy your time together!
