To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven Ecclesiastes 3:1
You have probably heard the expression or possibly said it yourself, “We got married too early!” But that is only a lie the devil uses to put regrets in our minds. If you are God’s child, and knew it was God’s will to wed your spouse, then you did not get married to early. Whether you were 19 or 29 years, God has perfect timing for everyone.
We can not make the excuse “we got married too early” because God’s timing is not always our timing. We might think we know better, but our wise God knows infinity times better than us what we need, who we need, and when we need it.
This expression of getting married too early we would probably say in the middle of an argument. However, God gave us our spouses for a reason. He uses spouses to show us our weaknesses. Therefore, we can work on ourselves, and become closer to God by seeing our faults that God points out to us through our marriage.
Who else, but our spouses knows us best? Through this person, God wants you to become a better person. To serve your God, to serve your spouse, to serve your family, as well as everyone else God sends in your life.
If the thought ever creeps into your mind that “I got married too early”, remember: God’s timing is perfect and your spouse is there to help you become closer to God.
Remember a time when you thought the timing wasn’t right, but later you saw that it worked out a lot better than you imagined.
